Frequently asked questions

What is the meaning of skin rejuvenation?

Skin rejuvenation refers to a range of treatments used to address various skin conditions caused by aging or exposure to the elements. These treatments can be ablative or non-ablative, breaking or not breaking the skin to stimulate the body's natural healing process and promote repair.

Does skin rejuvenation treatment cause discomfort?

Laser treatments are generally well-tolerated.

How many sessions will be required?

The number of sessions required depends on the severity of the condition and individual tolerance. We typically recommend four initial treatments spaced a month apart, but in some cases, a single treatment may be sufficient to refresh and perk up the skin. We will work with you to achieve optimal results, and periodic maintenance treatments can help maintain the desired outcome. For sun and age spot removal, three treatments are often enough.

How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal uses a process called photothermolysis, where concentrated light beams target the melanin in hair follicles. The intense heat damages the follicles, inhibiting future hair growth without harming the surrounding tissue. However, it is important to note that laser hair removal is not effective for red, blonde, grey, or white hairs.

Will the hair grow back after laser hair removal?

Hair growth occurs in cycles, with active, dormant, and shedding stages. During each laser session, only the active hairs with melanin and a live blood source at the root will respond to treatment. The burnt-off hairs will be pushed out, but new hair may still grow from the root. Multiple sessions strategically spaced out are necessary to target all active hairs.

Is laser hair removal permanent?

While laser hair removal can provide a significant reduction in hair growth, it is important to note that legally, we cannot promote it as "permanent" or "painless" according to FDA regulations. However, following a sequence of treatments, the hair that remains will exhibit slower growth and finer texture compared to before, ultimately leading to a reduction of up to 95%.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Laser hair removal is generally well-tolerated and less painful than other hair removal methods like waxing or electrolysis. Our cutting-edge technology, the latest in the market, is equipped with an advanced air cooling system. This system effectively keeps the treated area cool throughout the procedure, minimizing any potential discomfort and ensuring a more comfortable experience for our clients.

What if I have acne scarring or ingrowns in the treatment area?

Mild scarring and ingrown hairs will not affect your laser hair removal treatment. In fact, you may see an improvement in skin texture and a reduction in ingrown hairs after just a few visits. This makes you a great candidate for treatment, providing a double advantage.

Do men get laser services?

Absolutely. Laser treatments are equally rewarding for men. Common services for men include ingrown hair treatments, hair reduction, and skin rejuvenation. These services continue to gain popularity among men.

What if I have a tattoo, can I still be treated?

We can work around your tattoo during laser treatments, but we will not treat over the inked area as it may affect the color of the tattoo. Please note that we do not currently offer laser tattoo removal, although we may invest in that technology in the future.
